A financial economist, Shimon Awerbuch has been working in the energy sector for more than 30 years as an analyst, consultant and academic. Among other things, he worked as Senior Advisor for Energy Industry, Finances and Technology at the In¬ternational Energy Agency. He has also worked for the consulting com¬pany Ernst & Young. Since 2003 he has been researching as a Senior Fellow at the University of Sussex at the centre for Science and Technology Policy Research (SPRU).
