:: Centrosolar presents new 54-cell panel with up to 225 Wp output at the EUPVSEC

+ 28.07.2010 + Premium solar module achieves higher output thanks to novel cell matrix.

CENTROSOLAR AG is showing the new 54-cell module with increased output at the European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EUPVSEC) from September 6 - 10 in Valencia, Spain. The new modules have four more cells than the former 50-cell panels of the S-Class Excellent series. The modules can be fitted by one person. The chosen layout of the cell matrix means the efficiency has been given a considerable boost. The modules achieve an output of up to 225 Wp.

With the relaunch, CENTROSOLAR is responding to customer calls for a high-output PV module with compact dimensions. The new version of module is wider and shorter, resulting in improved statics and greater torsional rigidity on the roof. For the installation engineer, the new dimensions mean greater ease of handling during the installation process, shortening the overall fitting process. The module now comprises 6 x 9 cells instead of the previous 5 x 10. The extra row of cells permits an efficient wiring concept that reduces the modules' internal resistance and thus improves yield.

The S-Class Excellent module series is built at the group's own production plant at CENTROSOLAR Sonnenstromfabrik in Wismar (Germany), to the highest quality standards. The first 54-cell modules will become available from the fourth quarter of 2010. Following their market launch in Germany, they are also scheduled to go on sale in Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands and Greece.
