Hanergy Launches Smart Bus Station Armed with thin film solar powered panels in

The world’s largest thin-film power solution company, Hanergy Thin Film Power Group (00566.hk), recently set-up a smart bus station in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City bringing to effective use its cutting-edge thin-film power technology.

As one of the first solar powered smart bus station projects in China, this intelligent bus stop developed by Hanergy is well equipped to provide multiple engaging services to the passengers ranging from news display, digital books borrowing, searching for life services, mobile phone charging to online shopping and download unlimited content by accessing city’s Wi-Fi coverage.

The hi-tech, one-of-a-kind bus station is installed with MiaSolé flexible modules on the roof to generate electricity for the bus stop. MiaSolé is a US based subsidiary of Hanergy and its solar modules are thin, lightweight and flexible, therefore, they can be attached to the roof of the bus station perfectly for it to generate electricity without emitting any pollutants. The bus station is consequently low-carbon, energy-saving and environment-friendly.

Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco City is a major cooperation project between the governments of China and Singapore to jointly develop a socially harmonious, environment friendly and resource-conserving city in China. It’s the first of its kind eco-city project in the world collaborated by the two countries.

The eco-city is taking proactive strategies to promote renewable energy, including geothermal, solar, wind and biomass energy, and to push for the launch of green buildings. The launch of the smart bus station by Hanergy is one big step forward in the development of eco-city.

Following this launch, Tianjin is the fourth city to have Hanergy’s smart bus station, after Dali, Beijing and Langfang. As the project develops, Hanergy has on its plan to provide solar-power solutions for another 70 smart bus stations in Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City.
