Thanks to inexhaustible solar energy, we will be able to completely replace fossil and nuclear energy sources globally in 15 years at the latest, thus providing an alternative to further destroying our planet. I draw my optimism about the chances of a rapid energy transition mainly from the encouraging and surprising research results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the annual conference<\/a> (Jahrestagung<\/a>) of the Forschungsverbunds Erneuerbare Energien<\/a><\/a> in October 2024, the conference chair, Professor Andreas Reuter from the Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy Systems (IWES), said: \u2018Some renewable energies are experiencing record growth and more and more often, renewable energies can cover the entire electricity consumption in Germany… We have reason to be optimistic.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research is making the energy transition more resilient<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We are currently experiencing a worldwide boom in renewable energies that would have been unimaginable until recently. The Fraunhofer researcher sees innovations \u2018for green power generation, climate-friendly heat supply and high-performance storage\u2019. Climate research is making the energy transition more cost-effective and efficient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the energy transition also needs highly qualified specialists. Currently, over 16.2 million people worldwide are working on the global solar revolution. But Professor Reuter is also confident here: \u2018The young generation has understood the urgency of the energy transition and wants to get involved.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are the opportunities and hopes of the global solar revolution. Yes, we still have the chance to save our climate. But we are probably the last generation that can do it. A child born today can assume that in 2040 they will live in a world that is 100 per cent renewable in terms of energy. But to achieve this, we have to develop in the direction of an opportunity society instead of a society of doubters. This opportunity society can develop in the direction of material security with a sense of justice into a positive future narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fair climate policy and social justice are not contradictions \u2013 they belong together. There will be no great leap forward in the solar world revolution without climate social policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Solar policy is peace policy \u2013 solar policy is social policy. Successful solar policy must always take the social aspects into account. Solar policy is therefore always climate social policy. The modern motto for the future is: Citizens to the sun, to freedom! Because renewable energies mean more independence, more freedom, more social justice and more peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most important potential for renewables is people who work together with the natural and almost infinite potential of renewable energies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
