Solar & Benefit Persia: Wind Energy with 2×30 MW

Solar & Benefit, being successful in Iran as a solar project developer for more than 3 years with an own office in Tehran, started his first wind project in Iran with the provincial governor Dr. Hamid Garmabie in Neyshabur (Khorasan).

The local Solar & Benefit Management, headed by Dr. Akba Golchini, sees further potential for the very favorable location “Binalood”. This first wind farm is being implemented together with the internationally experienced technical partner ep4 offshore from Germany – under the technical leadership of the graduate physicist Heinrich Duden.

“Now our early development work and strong cooperation with national and regional decision-makers for renewable energies in Iran – launched long before the sanctions were lifted – also bears fruit in the wind energy sector,” says Gerald Scharrer, Chairman of the Solar & Benefit Group, staying regularly in the front line in Tehran.

Under the technical leadership of Heinrich Duden (ep4 offshore), a total of 12 x 2.5 MW wind turbines of the XEMC-XE93 model are used, which can be largely controlled and maintained from a remote control center in Tehran. ep4 offshore develops and manages on- and offshore wind parks worldwide and is regarded as leading expert team in wind energy on land and water.

After fixing close cooperations with Iranian partners such as TAVANIR, the Solar & Benefit Group is now presenting with ep4 offshore the second internationally recognized partner in Iran – after Gräss Group some month ago. Thus completes its range of services in the area of renewable energies in Iran with proven German experts.
